Better-than-expected December quarter (Q3 FY24) results by IT giants Infosys and TCS boosted investor sentiment on Friday, January 12, thus propelling the benchmark indices to scale fresh peaks.

During the day, the 50-share Nifty index hit an all-time high of 21,928.25 before settling at a fresh closing peak of 21,894.55, up 247.35 points, or 1.14 per cent. The 50-scrip barometer crossed the 21,900 mark for the first time in intraday trade. The S&P BSE Sensex, too, scaled a high of 72,720.96 points in the intraday session. The index eventually ended at 72,568.45, up 847.27 points, or 1.18 per cent.

Here are some stocks that will be in focus on Monday, January 15.

Wipro

The IT firm's revenue from operations stood at Rs 16,316 crore against Rs 17,079 crore year-on-year (YoY). The profit for the three-month period ended December 31 stood at Rs 2,022.9 crore, up from Rs 2,413.1 crore a year ago.

The company announced an interim dividend of Re 1 per equity share, with January 24, 2024, being the record date. The payment of the interim dividend will be made on or before February 10, 2024, as per Wipro.

Vedanta

The company's subsidiary, Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), has received a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand of over Rs 12 crore for the period July 2017 to March 2018.

Som Distilleries & Breweries

The company's board will consider fundraising in a meeting to be held on January 17.

Sheela Foam

The company has acquired 2.57 per cent of the share capital of Kurlon Enterprise Limited (KEL) for an aggregate consideration of approximately Rs 55.33 crore. Sheela Foam Limited now holds 97.23 per cent of the share capital of KEL.

HCL Technologies

The company posted good Q3 results, with revenues increasing 6.7 per cent and profit up 13.5 per cent. Margins at the IT major also expanded to 19.8 per cent versus 18.4 per cent in the year-ago period. 

Avenue Supermarts

The company posted in-line numbers, with revenue increasing 17 per cent YoY and margins expanding to 8.5 per cent.

Anand Rathi Wealth

The company came up with mixed numbers, with revenue growing 31.9 per cent in Q3. Profit also increased by 35 percent year on year.

Tata Consumer Products

The company has completed the acquisition of Capital Foods for Rs 5,100 crore, while Organic India has been acquired for an enterprise value of Rs 1,900 crore. 

BHEL

The company has bagged an order valued at Rs 15,000 crore from NLC India for 3x 800 MW NLC Talabira Thermal Power project in Orissa.

Alkem Labs

The company faced a cyber security issue wherein the official email addresses of some of the employees were compromised.

Goodluck India, eMudhra and Anant Raj

Three companies launched their QIPs on January 12. For Goodluck India, the floor price is pegged at a 10 per cent discount versus CMP at Rs 989.4. For eMudhra, it is fixed at Rs 443.56 per share, while for Anant Raj, it is 310.78 per share.

Accelya Solutions

Plutus Wealth Management acquired 74,771 shares in the entity at Rs 1,709.99 per share. 

Nazara Technologies

The company will consider fundraising in its board meeting on January 17 via issuance of equity shares on preferential basis or other securities.

Q3 FY24 results to be announced

Bharat Dynamics Ltd

The company's board will consider third-quarter results on January 24.

Hindustan Zinc

The company will announce its results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2023, on Friday, January 19.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy

On January 18, 2024, the company will announce its results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2023.
