Domestic equity indices ended marginally higher on Thursday, trimming most of their intra-day gains, as investors awaited announcements of US inflation data on Thursday and domestic macroeconomic numbers on Friday. The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 63.47 points, or 0.09 per cent, to settle at 71,721.18, and Nifty gained 28.50 points, or 0.13 per cent, to 21,647.20.

Here are some stocks that will be in focus on Friday, January 12

TCS

Tata Consultancy Services reported its Q3 results in post-market hours, where revenue from operations stood at Rs 60,583 crore as against Rs 58,229 crore, up 4 per cent year-on-year (YoY). The profit for the third quarter ended December 31 stood at Rs 11,097 crore against Rs 10,883 crore, a rise of 2 per cent. 

Infosys

The IT firm's consolidated profit declined 1.7 per cent QoQ to Rs 6,106 crore. Revenue for Q3 stood at Rs 38,821 crore. The company's FY24 revenue growth guidance is 1.5 to 2 per cent. Additionally, the company will acquire Insemi for Rs 280 crore.

IDFC

The company submitted a joint application with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Chennai, for approval of IDFC and IDFC FIRST Bank's merger.

Bank of Baroda

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) waived the Rs 5 crore penalty imposed on the public sector bank.

M&M

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) released production, sales, and export figures for December 2023.

Polycab

The IT department conducted search and seizure operations at the company's premises from December 22–December 30. On the search, the company clarified that there is no impact on the company's financials due to the search. Smallcap World Fund INC sold 8.51 lakh shares, equating to a 0.56 per cent stake, at Rs 3955.87 per share.

Plastiblends India 

The company posted good Q3 results, with profit soaring 65 per cent YoY and margins also expanding to 5.7 per cent from 4.3 per cent in the year-ago period.

FSN e-Commerce

A block deal is likely in the stock today. Lexdale International may offload a total of 2.62 crore shares in the entity. The block deal, estimated to be worth around Rs 490 crore, will be done for Rs 187.8 per share.

TCPL

The company may announce the acquisition of Capital Food, valued at Rs 5,100 crore. The company is planning to acquire a 75 per cent stake in the entity.

Goa Carbon

The company, in its board meeting scheduled for January 16, will deliberate over Q3 results as well as fundraising via the rights issue.

Concor

In December, volume at the company increased from 10.85 lakh TEUs to 11.51 lakh TEUs, up 6.05 per cent over year.

Bajel

The company has bagged a new order worth around Rs 487.64 crore from Tata Power.

HG Infra

The company has been declared the lowest bidder by Central Railways for a project valued at Rs 716.11 crore.

Samhi Hotels

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority bought 5 lakh shares (0.23 per cent) at Rs 185 per share. Sarvara Investment Fund I sold 49.97 lakh shares in the entity at Rs 185 per share.

HDFC AMC

After the company's Q3 results, brokerages have turned bullish on the counter. Jefferies retained its buy call on the counter with a raised target price of Rs 4,010.

Emami

The company's board will consider the financial results for the third quarter and the dividend on February 9.

Gland Pharma

The pharmaceutical company's board will consider financial results for Q3 in a meeting on February 14.

Colgate-Palmolive

It will hold its board meeting on January 22 to approve unaudited financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2023.

Equitas Small Finance Bank

The company's board will consider financial results for Q3 in a meeting on January 25.
