Stocks to watch: The Indian equity market gained for the sixth consecutive session on Friday, September 8. Another key highlight of the day was the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) decision to discontinue the incremental cash reserve ratio (ICRR). At close, BSE Sensex was up 333.35 points, or 0.50 per cent at 66,598.91, and NSE Nifty was up 92.9 points, or 0.47 per cent at 19,819.95.

At around 8:03 a.m. on Monday, September 11, the GIFT Nifty futures traded 46 points, or 0.23 per cent higher at 19,920, suggesting a flat-to-negative start for the market.

Tata Communications

The company has tied up with Nvidia to build artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in India. Tata Communications' global network will provide high-speed data transfer facilities to all companies on the AI cloud.

Reliance Industries

US technology company NVIDIA and billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries on Friday announced a partnership to build AI supercomputers in India. "The companies will work together to build AI infrastructure that is over an order of magnitude more powerful than the fastest supercomputer in India today," the firms said in a statement.

Renewable energy stocks

All countries will try to encourage efforts to triple renewable energy capacity globally through existing targets and policies in line with national circumstances by 2030. India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and the U.S. Development Finance Corporation gave letters of intent. Both countries will contribute $500 million to a renewable infrastructure investment fund. The fund will be used to undertake greenfield renewable energy, battery storage, and emerging green technology projects in India.

Space-related stocks in focus

ISRO and NASA will start talks on modalities, capacity building, and training for the International Space Station in 2024. Both organisations will prepare a strategic framework regarding human space flight by the end of 2023.

Tata Motors/JBM Auto/Olectra Greentech/Ashok Leyland  

Around 1,850 electric buses will soon run in 19 cities in Uttar Pradesh. Officials will arrange adequate land and charging points for the operation of e-buses. Ten thousand e-buses will be run by the Central Government in various cities of the country.

MCX   

NSE can now launch options on NYMEX WTI Crude Oil and Natural Gas Futures. Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has given approval to NSE to launch options contracts in the commodity derivatives segment.

Adani Enterprises 

The company's subsidiary, Adani Global Pte. Ltd., has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Singapore-based Kowa Holdings Asia Pte for trading green ammonia, green hydrogen, and related products.

ICICI Bank 

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given approval to make 'iProcess' a wholly-owned subsidiary. The formation of the subsidiary was approved by the board in February.

PVR Inox 

The company has started a four-screen multiplex in Smart City Mall in Dharwad, Karnataka. With this launch, PVR INOX now operates with 1708 screens across 361 properties in 115 cities (India and Sri Lanka).

Also, Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' movie box office collection reached Rs 287 crore.

NTPC

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) and V O Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) have joined hands to develop a green hydrogen hub at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu. NTPC Group is planning to create 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

Balaji Amines 

Balaji Specialty Chemicals withdrew its initial public offer (IPO) application.

Railway and Shipping stocks 

A rail-port connectivity agreement has been signed between India, the UAE, the US, Saudi Arabia, and the European Union (EU). The EU, Middle East, and India will be connected by rail and sea links. Eight countries will together build a corridor, according to US President Joe Biden.

Ethanol-producing companies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a Global Biofuel Alliance with eleven countries. Appeal to adopt 20 per cent ethanol blending globally

Telecom equipment stocks

ATIS' Next G Alliance has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bharat 6G Alliance. India and the US share a vision of creating secure and trusted telecommunications, resilient supply chains, and enabling global digital inclusion.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL)

PM Modi welcomed commitments from the US industry to invest more in India’s aircraft industry. There will be the commencement of negotiations for a commercial agreement between GE Aerospace and Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL) to manufacture GE F-414 jet engines in India.

Semiconductor-related stocks

The leaders at the G20 summit reiterated their support for building resilient global semiconductor supply chains.

Shyam Metalics

Promoters will sell 1.30 crore shares through an Offer for Sale (OFS) (5.11 per cent stake) at a floor price fixed at Rs 414 per share. OFS will be open from September 11 to September 12, and for non-retail investors, the OFS will open on September 11. Retail investors will be able to participate on September 12.

VRL Logistics

Promoter Anand Vijay Sankeshwar sold 35 lakh shares (4 per cent) at Rs 681.08 per share. On the other hand, SBI Mutual Fund (Non- Promoter) bought 19.29 lakh shares (2.2 per cent) at Rs 681 per share.

IRB Infrastructure Developers

The toll collection in August increased from Rs 336 crore to Rs 417.2 crore year-on-year, up 24 per cent.

PB Fintech 

PB Fintech, which operates insurance and credit aggregator platforms like PolicyBazaar and PaisaBazaar, is looking at bringing some significant diversification into its business lines.
