Stock market indices started the day on a strong note after Ram Navmi holiday. The Sensex is up 631.27 points or 1.09 per cent at 58,591.36 and the Nifty at 17,257.55, up 176.85 points or 1.03 per cent from its previous close at 9.22 AM IST today.

Here's a look at some of the key stocks in focus on Dalal Street, including Ajanta Pharma, Welspun, Lupin, and Mindtree.

Ajanta Pharma: Ajanta Pharma's share buyback is starting today. The company will buyback about 22.10 lakh shares till 10 April at Rs 1,425 each, representing 2.59 per cent stake of the company.

The board of directors of Ajanta approved the share buyback proposal on 10 March.

Welspun Enterprises: Small cap company Welspun Enterprises Limited is closing its buyback programme today which started on 16 March. Last year in December, the company's board approved the buyback of 1.17 crore shares at Rs 200 each aggregating to Rs 235 crore.

Mindtree: Technology firm Mindtree which got merged with Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) in Movember 2022, will be delisted from trading today, 31 March 2023.

Other companies like JMC Projects (merged into Kalpataru Power Transmission), Jindal Stainless, Hisar (merged into Jindal Stainless), AAR Commercial Company (merged into Gallant Metal), and SORIL Infra Resources (merged into Yaari Digital Integrated Services) will also get delisted from trading today.

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL): IGL shares will turn ex-dividend today, 31 March. The company had announced an interim dividend of Rs 10 per share and said, the dividend will be paid on April 22.

Lupin Ltd: Drug firm Lupin on Thursday said the US health regulator has issued a Form-483 with ten observations after inspecting its Pithampur Unit-2 manufacturing facility.

The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) inspected the plant from March 21 to March 29, 2023.
