Milestones on Dalal Street: HUL hits all-time high; Divis, DMart, Shriram Finance, Voltas, Alkem scale 52-week highs
Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 rose as much as 0.3 per cent in intraday trade on Tuesday amid buying interest in IT stocks. Among the blue-chip stocks, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) hit an all-time high, surpassing an earlier peak of Rs 2,937.5 reached the previous day.
Domestic equity benchmarks registred mild gains on Tuesday led by buying interest in IT stocks although selling pressure in financial counters limited the upside. Both main indices rose as much as 0.3 per cent in intraday trade, with the Sensex gaining as much as 278.2 points to 81,837.7 and the Nifty50 adding 78.4 points to 25,014.8.
Among the blue-chip stocks, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) hit an all-time high, surpassing an earlier peak of Rs 2,937.5 reached the previous day.
