Share Market News July 31: At around 8:13 am, GIFT Nifty futures traded higher by 0.13 per cent or 32.9 points at 24,962, indicating a positive opening on the D-Street. Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex finished a volatile session barely in the green on Tuesday, as buying in auto and financial stocks was offset by selling in FMCG scrips. Both main gauges edged up 0.1 per cent at the close.

The Sensex rose 99.6 points to end at 81,455.4 while the Nifty50 gained 21.2 points to 24,857.3.

Tata Consumer Products June quarter earnings largely in line with analysts' estimates  

After the market hours on Tuesday, Tata Consumer Products reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 314 crore with 16 per cent growth in revenue to Rs 4352 crore for the quarter ended June 30. 

Zee Business analysts had pegged the Tata group company's first-quarter net profit at Rs 338 crore and revenue at Rs 4,390 crore. 

Tata Consumer Products clocked a margin of 15.3 per cent for the first quarter of FY25, up 70 bps on a year-on-year basis. 

The analysts had estimated the Tata group company's quarterly margin at 15 per cent.

Around 115 companies are scheduled to report their financial results for the April-June period, including Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel, Tata Investments, Teamlease, Mankind Pharma, BHEL, Birlasoft, Indus Towers, and RITES.
