Share Market News, Nifty 50, Sensex, Stock Market News: As market participants await the last trading before Diwali, here are a few key events to track in the domestic as well as international markets in the trading week beginning October 28.
Share Market News: Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 fell 2.2 per cent and 2.7 per cent dragged by across-the-board selling on Dalal Street last week, amid a string of weak earnings from major corporate and sustained outflows by foreign institutional investors. Investors lost Rs 21.2 lakh crore in wealth as the market capitalisation (mcap) of BSE-listed companies contracted to Rs 437 lakh crore from Rs 458.2 lakh crore, according to provisional exchange data.
As market participants await the last trading before Diwali, here are a few key events to track in the domestic as well as international markets in the trading week beginning October 28:
DOMESTIC CUES
Earnings
More than 350 companies are scheduled to report their financial results during the week.

- Monday: Bharti Airtel, BHEL, Federal Bank, Indian Oil Corp, LIC Housing Finance, Paras Defence and Space Tech, PNB, RailTel Corp, Sun Pharma, Tata Tech
- Tuesday: Cipla, Concor, Voltas, Deepak Fertilisers, HUDCO, Marico, MTAR Tech, Prestige Estates Projects, SBI Card, Vakrangee, V-Guard, VMart
- Wednesday: Tata Power, Biocon, DCM Shriram, IRB, Larsen & Touro, TTK Prestige
- Thursday: Tata Investment Corp, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Last Mile Enterprises, Sudarshan Pharma Industries, Sonalis Consumer Products
- Friday: Lykis
Macroeconomic data
Official data on activity in eight core industries—collectively known as infrastructure sector activity—is due for release at 5 pm on Wednesday.
A private sector PMI survey capturing the manufacturing activity in the country is due at 10:30 am on Friday.
Institutional flows
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have net sold Indian shares to the tune of Rs 1,00,242 crore in October so far, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have made net purchases of Rs 97,091 crore, according to provisional exchange data.
