Sensex, Nifty set to open higher GIFT Nifty futures up mildly by 0.11%

Share Market Today, NSE Nifty 50, BSE Sensex: Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty will likely start today's (October 14) session in a positive territory. At around 7:10 am, GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the 50-share index, were up 28.45 points or 0.11 per cent at 25,078 ahead of the opening bell on Dalal Street.

Nasdaq ended 0.33 per cent higher at 18,342.94

S&P 500 up 0.61 per cent at 5,815

Dow Jones ended 0.97 per cent higher 

Meanwhile, Asian markets traded mixed Hang Seng down over 2 per cent, while South Korea's Kospi and Singapore's Straits Times traded in the green. The volumes in Asian markets remained muted due to a trading holiday in Japan.

In the previous day's trade, Nifty closed mildly lower below 25,000 at 24,964.25, while the Sensex ended at 81,381, down 0.28 per cent or 230 points.
