PVR INOX shares rise after bolstering first-week collections of Gadar 2, Jailer, and OMG 2

It informed that a record 12.80 lakh tickets were sold on August 13 while the box office collection amounted to Rs 39.50 crore.
Shares of PVR INOX are trading higher by 3.42 per cent at Rs 1,692.50 in early morning trading after bolstering first-week results for movies such as Gadar 2, Jailer, and OMG 2.
The share price of PVR INOX has soared 19.59 per cent in the last one month as against a fall of 1.09 per cent.
The company is high on the response movies like Gadar 2, Jailer, and OMG 2 are receiving from the audience.
While Gadar has got a good response on single- and multiscreens, OMG 2 has benefited from word-of-mouth publicity.
It is estimated that Gadar 2 and OMG 2 are likely to collect a revenue of more than Rs 400 crore till Independence Day (August 15).
Record ticket sales
PVR INOX updated that the company witnessed a record sale of tickets and box office collection on August 13.
It informed that a record 12.80 lakh tickets were sold on August 13 while the collection amounted to Rs 39.50 crore.
Between August 11-13, the company sold a total of 33.6 lakh tickets, while the gross box office income during the same duration was more than Rs 100 crore.
The company has high hopes for the upcoming Hindi releases, Dream Girl 2 and Jawan.
Ayushman Khurana and Ananya Pandey starrer Dream Girl 2 is set to release on August 25, while cinema enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, which has a release date of September 7.
