ONGC Dividend 2023, ONGC Dividend 2023 Record Date: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India (ONGC) recently declared an interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24. 
 
The board of directors at the state-run oil producer approved an interim dividend of Rs 5.75 per share of face value of Rs 5 each i.e. a dividend of 115 per cent.

"The Board of Directors has declared an Interim dividend at the rate Rs 5.75 per equity share of face value of Rs 5/- each i.e. @ 115 % for the Financial Year 2023-24," the company said in an exchange filing.

ONGC Dividend 2023: Record Date

 

The Maharatna large-cap company has also fixed a record date for the purpose of the payment of the interim dividend. According to information available with the exchange, the record date for the interim dividend is November 21.

"As informed vide letter dated 06.11.2023, Tuesday, the 21st November, 2023 has been fixed as “Record Date” for determining the eligibility of shareholders for payment of Interim Dividend," the filing reads.

The record date helps companies identify their shareholders who would be eligible to receive a dividend or distribution. It is established by the company's board.

The large-cap oil and gas sector company also said that eligible shareholders will receive the dividend on or before December 10. 
 
"The dividend will be paid to the eligible shareholders on or before 10.12.2023," the company said.

ONGC Dividend History

 

Earlier in May, ONGC paid a final dividend of Re 0.50 per share. It also announced Rs 4 interim dividend per share in February. In November 2022, the state-owned company paid Rs 6.75 interim dividend. In August and February same year, it paid a Rs 3.25 dividend and a Rs 1.75 interim dividend.

In 2021, ONGC which is the largest crude oil and natural gas company in India, paid Rs 9.10 dividend. In 2020, it paid a Rs 5 dividend.
