NTPC Dividend 2024: Board expected to recommend final dividend - Check details

NTPC Dividend 2024, NTPC Q4 Results 2024: The NTPC Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the ownership of the Ministry of Power and the Government of India, is scheduled to announce its quarterly results for the financial year 2024 today.

According to reports, the company may also consider and approve the final dividend for Q4FY during the meeting today.

"This meeting, subject to the approval of shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting, shall also consider the recommendation of final dividend for the Financial Year 2023-24, if any," NTPC had said in an exchange filing on May 15.

The counter of the company opened in green with marginal gains. The scrip started the session at Rs 373.65 and touched the day's high of Rs 375.45. This is a gain of Rs 3.15 from the previous close of Rs 372.30. 

Last seen, the share was trading at Rs 372.50. The shares of the company, which has a market cap of Rs 3,61,200 crore

The share has given a multibagger return of 112 per cent in one year. So far this year, the counter has gained 20.32 per cent so far this year. 

Meanwhile, benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty hit their fresh all-time peaks in early trade on Friday amid buoyant investors' sentiment days ahead of the results of the Lok Sabha polls announcement and fresh foreign fund inflows.

The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 164.24 points to hit its all-time high of 75,582.28 in early trade. The NSE Nifty went up by 36.4 points to breach the 23,000 mark for the first time ever. It hit its lifetime peak of 23,004.05.

From the Sensex firms, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel were the major gainers.
