Share Market News, Nifty 50, Sensex, Stock Market News: It was yet another eventful week for Dalal Street, one that saw Donald Trump win the race to the White House and the Fed announced its second rate cut in the post-COVID era. A mixed bag of corporate earnings amid sustained selling by foreign institutional investors continued to batter the investor sentiment in a market where the Sensex lost 237.8 points or 0.3 per cent while the Nifty gave up 156.2 points or 0.6 per cent. At current levels of 79,486.3 and 24,148.2, the Sensex and the Nifty50 have yet to recover 7.6 per cent and 8.1 per cent to reach their all-time highs of late September. 

As market participants await a fresh trading week, here are a few key factors and events that will be in focus on Dalal Street between November 11 and November 15:

DOMESTIC CUES 

Macroeconomic data

Separate data sets on factory output and consumer inflation are due at 4 pm on Tuesday. This is the first time the data will be released at this hour instead of the usual 5:30 pm after the central government's statistics department decided to shift the timings towards the market closing hours. Read more 

Wholesale inflation data is due at noon on Thursday. 

Earnings

It will also be a busy week for investors and analysts as more than 2,500 companies are scheduled to report their quarterly numbers. These include: 

  • Monday: Britannia, Hindalco, Hindustan Copper, ONGC, Shree Cement, Zydus Wellness
  • Tuesday: Samvardhana Motherson International, Nykaa, Natco Pharma, Zydus Lifesciences 
  • Wednesday: Apollo Tyres, Vodafone Idea, Dilip Buildcon, NBCC
  • Thursday: HAL, DB Realty, Delhivery, Ipca Labs

Institutional flows

Institutional activity will continue to be in the spotlight on Dalal Street with domestic funds rapidly filling much of a gap created by sustained selling by foreign institutions over the past few weeks. 

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have net sold Indian shares amounting to Rs 19,849.5 crore in November so far while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have made net purchases of Rs 14,014.2 crore, according to provisional exchange data.

  • Tuesday: Germany inflation data, UK employment data 
  • Wednesday: US inflation data
  • Thursday: US crude oil stockpiles & jobless claims data; Eurozone GDP, industrial production, employment data
  • Friday: Fed Chair Jerome Powell speech, Japan GDP data, UK GDP data, China factory output & employment data, US trade data

A number of central bank officials are scheduled to speak during the week.
