Stocks in News, Shares in News: Domestic equity benchmarks halted a two-day losing streak with a mild gain on Tuesday, aided by gains in energy and financial shares though losses in IT stocks kept the upside in check. The Sensex rose 234.1 points, or 0.3 per cent, to end at 78,199.1 while the Nifty50 settled at 23,707.9, up 91.9 points, or 0.4 per cent, for the day.
