Share Market News, Stocks in News: Domestic equity benchmarks snapped a New Year rally on Friday, with the Nifty 50 shedding 183.9 points, or 0.8 per cent, to settle at 24,004.8 and the Sensex giving up 720.6 points, or 0.9 per cent, to settle at 79,223.1. Weakness in financial and IT shares outweighed strength in select energy and auto counters.

Stocks in News | ITC 

ITC shares are scheduled to trade ex-demerger of the company's hotels business. 

As part of the arrangement, the ITC stock will undergo a special pre-opening session and ITC Hotels will be added to headline indices Sensex and Nifty. 

Initially, ITC Hotels will be added to every index where ITC is a constituent.

In a quarterly business update, Bank of Baroda has reported an 11.7 per cent increase in its global business to Rs 25.64 lakh crore in the October-December period.

Its global deposits and advances have increased 11.8 per cent and 11.7 per cent respectively.

Bank of India's global business has grown 12.6 per cent in Q3.

Its global advances and deposits have increased 15.3 per cent and 12.3 per cent respectively.

Stocks in News | UCO Bank

UCO Bank's total business has expanded 12.2 per cent to Rs 4.88 lakh crore in the December quarter.

Its total advances and deposits have risen 16.2 per cent and 9.4 per cent respectively.

The lender's total deposits and advances have risen 5.1 per cent and 10.3 per cent in Q3.

The NBFC's total disbursements have increased about seven per cent to Rs 16,450 crore in the December quarter.

The company's quarterly retail disbursements and loan book have grown 4 per cent and 23 per cent to Rs 15,170 crore and Rs 92,200 crore respectively.
