Here are a few stocks worth tracking for the next session on Dalal Street, on January 16.

Earnings

More than 35 companies are scheduled to report their quarterly numbers on Thursday, including Infosys, Axis Bank, Havells India and LTIMindtree. 

Gas stocks

Gas companies such as IGL, MGL and Gujarat Gas are set to be in focus as higher domestic allocations are set to come into force on Thursday. 

CESC & PCBL 

Each stock is set to trade ex-dividend on Thursday. 

Other Corporate Action

Also at the opening bell, Regis Industries and Ultracab shares are set to trade ex-split and ex-rights respectively. 

HDFC Life 

The private sector life insurance company has reported a mixed set of quarterly results.

Its net profit increased 13.7 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 415 crore while its total annual premium equivalent (APE) grew 11.9 per cent to Rs 3,569 crore for the October-December period. 

The life insurer's VNB margin, a key measure of profitability for an insurance business, contracted by 70 bps to 26.1 per cent for the December quarter. 

According to Zee Business research, HDFC Life was estimated to register a third-quarter net profit of Rs 430 crore. 

 

L&T Tech (LTTS)

LTTS has reported a set of quarterly numbers that are largely in line with Street expectations.

OFSS 

The company has reported a mixed set of quarterly earnings. 

CEAT 

The tyre maker's quarterly consolidated profit has decreased to Rs 97 crore from Rs 181 crore a year ago.

Punjab & Sind Bank 

The PSU bank has registered a 2.5 times jump in its net profit to Rs 282 crore for the December quarter.

GAIL (INDIA) 

The PSU has signed a settlement with SEFE Marketing & Trading Singapore.

Coal India Ltd (CIL)

The PSU miner's board is set to meet on January 27 to consider the company's results as well as a dividend for eligible shareholders.

J Kumar Infraprojects

The company has bagged a Rs 1,073-crore order from NBCC.

LT Foods

The company has established a subsidiary by the name of LT Foods Middle East LLC.

Exide Industries

The battery maker has invested Rs 150 crore in its subsidiary EESL through equity.

RVNL 

The company has bagged an order worth Rs 3,622 crore from BSNL.
