Market Pre-opening; Sensex, Nifty likely to open weak; GIFT Nifty futures down 95 pts
Amid weakness in most Asia-Pacific markets, Indian equities are likely to open lower.
Stock Market, NSE Nifty 50, BSE Sensex, Global Markets; US Stocks, Asian Stocks: Headline indices Sensex and Nifty will likely start today's (October 8) session on a weak note. Last GIFT Nifty futures at around 8:05 am traded lower by 0.38 per cent or 94.05 points at 24,891.5.
Asian markets mainly traded on a subdued note barring the China's Shanghai Composite. The shares soared to 2-yeat high today as trading resumed after a week-long holiday.

Nasdaq ended over 1 per cent lower in Monday's session
Dow Jones declined 0.94 per cent
S&P 500 also fell around 1 per cent
Japan's Nikkei, meanwhile, traded with a cut of over 1 per cent.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng witnessed a sharp cut of nearly 7 per cent.
Previous session summary
In the previous session amid relentless FII selling and heightening geopolitical tensions, Indian equities ended lower for the sixth straight day with the Nifty ending below 24,800 levels.
Crude oil price
Oil prices also rose as tensions in the Middle East remain high. Brent crude last traded above $79 per bbl levels.
