Broader markets, on the other hand, underperformed the headline indices, with the Nifty Midcap 100 index taking a knock by over 1 per cent.

Titagarh Rail Systems: Shares of the railway waggons entity ended in the green with gains of around 1 per cent at Rs 776 after the company secured an order worth Rs 857 crore from the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation.
Nestle India: Packaged foods major Nestle was among the top Nifty gainers in today’s session, rising 3 per cent. The company, in its forthcoming board meeting this month, will be considering the second interim dividend for 2023, together with the stock split.
Updater Services: After a weak listing on the bourses today, shares of the integrated facilities management company ended over 5 per cent lower at Rs 284. The company’s IPO issue price was fixed at Rs 300.
IDFC First Bank: Shares of the private lender ended around 3 per cent lower after it launched its qualified institutional placement (QIP) on October 3 to raise funds.
APL Apollo Tubes: APL Apollo Tubes shares settled over 2 per cent lower at Rs 1,603 after the company’s Q2 business update. The company during the September-ended quarter clocked 12 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in sales volume.
Edelweiss Financial Services: Shares of the NBFC firm in intraday trade today rallied as much as 8 per cent to hit a day’s high of Rs 67.9 per share. The firm is set to open its Rs 200 crore NCD issue, which will offer a maximum yield of 10.66 per cent p.a.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank: Shares of the lender scaled a new 52-week high of Rs 59.6 per share for the second straight session today. The company's shares have seen heavy demand ever since its partnership with SMC Global Securities on September 26.
Bajaj Finserv: Shares of the company ended around 2 per cent lower at Rs 1,533 as the company’s subsidiary Bajaj Allianz General Insurance received a show cause notice from the Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax (GST) Intelligence of Rs 1,010 crore.
Navneet Education: Shares of the small-cap firm ended with gains of over 6 per cent at Rs 166 per share. The company, in an exchange filing on Tuesday (October 3), said that the sale of its immovable property in Ghuma Taluka, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has been completed.
Sasken Technologies: Shares of the company in intra-day trade hit a new 52-week high of Rs 1,213 after the company entered into a partnership with Qualcomm Technologies.
