NBCC Share Price NSE, BSE Today: Shares of state-owned construction firm NBCC are in focus on Monday as the PSU has informed exchanges that it has bagged a new project REC Limited. The counter opened in red as benchmark equity indices tumbled in early trade amid weak trends from global markets and fresh foreign fund outflows. The 30-share BSE Sensex declined 463.96 points to 76,745.94. The Nifty dropped 149.6 points to 23,351.50.

The counter opened at Rs 165.20, down by Rs 1.1 from the previous close of Rs 166.30 on the BSE. However, the counter surged to touch the high of Rs 167.20. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 166.80.

"This is to inform that NBCC (India) has been awarded the work of Project Management Consultant for new Construction & Renovation of existing RECIPMT building at RECIPMT, Shivarampally, Hyderabad from REC Limited amounting Rs. 100 crore (approx). The above mentioned works are in the normal Course of business of NBCC," the company said in an exchange filing.

NBCC reported a 26 per cent growth in its consolidated net profit to Rs 136.08 crore for the quarter ended March 2024. Its net profit stood at Rs 108.4 crore in the year-ago period.

Income from operations rose to Rs 4,024.5 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal as compared to Rs 2,813.35 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.
