On the special occasion of Muhurat Trading today, marking the beginning of Samvat 2081, Vikas Sethi, Managing Director of Sethi Finmart, suggested two stock picks for the short term. Importantly, we have entered the new Samvat - a new year in the Hindu tradition on a solid note with Nifty trading higher by around 0.45 per cent at over 24,300 levels. Meanwhile, broader markets outperformed the headline indices, with Nifty Smallcap 100 index up over 1 per cent.

VST Tillers
The expert has recommended the stock on the backdrop of the company's strong sales figures for October. For the scrip, the analyst has pegged a target of Rs 4,650 by Monday i.e. November 4, implying an upside of over 4 per cent in 2 days.
The stop loss advised for the same is Rs 4,410.
The smallcap company with a m-cap of is engaged in the manufacturing of power tiller and tractor.
NBCC
Another stock on his recommendation list today is the PSU company engaged in the construction business. For the same, the expert has given a target of Rs 102 with a stop loss of Rs 94.
Over a 1-year period, the stock has zoomed as much as 129 per cent, while the Nifty CPSE index over a similar period has gained 72 per cent.
By and large experts remain bullish on the India growth story and expect indices to give returns in mid double digits over 12 months period. Aditya Agarwal Head of Derivatives & Technical Analysis at Sanctum Wealth, however, from a short-term perspective, expects the market to remain volatile with 4-5 pr cent correction.
