Maruti Suzuki sales February 2023: Maruti Suzuki India — the country's largest carmaker — on Wednesday reported total sales of 1,50,823 passenger and light commercial vehicles in the domestic market last month, marking an increase of 9.6 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago.

Its passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew 10.1 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 1,47,467 units, according to a company statement. 

The auto major's exports, however, fell 28.4 per cent to 17,207 vehicles in February 2023. 

Maruti Suzuki said it took all possible measure to minimise the impact of a shortage of electronic parts. "The shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles, mainly in domestic models," Maruti Suzuki said. 

Maruti Suzuki shares rose by as much as Rs 146.2 or 1.7 per cent to Rs 8,772 apiece on BSE, building on to its intraday gain after the release of the sales report.
