Stocks to watch on Friday: At around 8:03 am, Gift Nifty futures traded higher by 49.5 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 22,210, indicating a positive opening for the markets today.

Indian equities, amid a recovery in the second half of the trade, ended a notch higher. The Nifty scaled 0.14 per cent, or 31.65 points, higher at 21,982.8. Meanwhile, broader markets recouped some of the previous day's losses and ended higher.

Here are the stocks to keep an eye on on Friday (March 1).

Biocon: The company, in its exchange filing, said it has received Form 483s with four observations from the USFDA for Biocon Biologics Limited’s Biocon Campus (Site 1) facility. The inspection was conducted between February 20 and 28, 2024.

United Breweries: The company in the Karnataka market has launched a new brand, London Pilsner Strong Beer.

Landmark Cars: Landmark Cars has received a letter of intent from MG Motor India for opening a dealership in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This dealership will be established by Aeromark Cars Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Landmark Cars.

Craftsman Automation: The company, via an exchange filing, informed investors that it will commence the commercial operations of its new plant at Sriperumbudur w.e.f. March 1, 2024. 

Auto stocks: Auto stocks will gain focus as February sales will be released by auto companies today.

Dish TV: In the bulk deal, BNP Paribas Arbitrage sold 28,446,351 equity shares at an average price of Rs 21.05 per share.

Vedanta: The stock of the diversified metals company will be in focus as the apex court has rejected the plea to commence the operation of its Tuticorin plant.

Paytm: The company has cancelled several agreements with Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) given some of its independent plans. 

Coromandel International and other fertiliser stocks: The Cabinet has approved a P&K subsidy worth Rs 24,420 crore.

MOIL: There has been a rise of 5 per cent in the price of select manganese ore.

Oil & Gas/ Aviation/ QSR stocks: For crude petroleum, the centre has raised the windfall tax to Rs 4,600 per tonne from Rs 3,000 per tonne. For ATF, OMCs have raised the price by Rs 624.37 per kilolitre. Also, prices have been raised for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder.

Pidilite: The company will be in focus after the company's Vice Chairman, AB Parekh, steps down from his position. Sudhanshu Vats will take over as the MD of the company.

Jindal Stainless Steel: Promoter Group Virtuous Tradecorp bought 32.50 lakh shares (0.4%) at Rs 647.10 per share via a bulk deal.

GPT Healthcare: Nomura Singapore sold 4.53 lakh shares at Rs 202.46 per share.
