The decision is expected to be taken on the day the Board of Directors of the government-owned company will meet to consider and approve the unaudited financial results of the company for the period ending September 30, 2023.

According to an exchange filing, the Board of Directors of the company will meet on November 2, 2023. 

"...this is to inform that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 2nd November 2023, inter-alia, to consider and approve the Unaudited Financial Results of the Company, and other financial statements namely Cash statement for the period ended 30th September 2023 and Statement of Assets and Liabilities as on that date. The Board will also consider declaration of Interim Dividend to the shareholders of the Company for the financial year 2023-24," the company said in the filing.

IRFC Interim Dividend 2023 Record Date 

Indian Railway Finance Corporation has fixed the record date for the payment of interim dividends, if any approved during the meeting of of the Board of Directors. 

A record date is a day that helps a company determine the eligibility of shareholders for their participation in the next scheduled corporate action.

"...the Record date for determining the entitlement of the shareholders for the payment of aforesaid Interim Dividend shall be Friday, 10th November 2023, subject to the approval of Interim Dividend by the Board of Directors," the company said in the exchange filing.

IRFC Dividend History

Earlier, the IRFC declared the final dividend of 7 per cent for the ex-date was September 15. The company had paid an interim dividend of Rs 0.80 in November 2022.

Back in September 2022, IRFC had distributed Rs 0.63 dividend per share. In 2021, IRFC paid dividends to its shareholders on two occasions -- Rs 0.77 in November and Rs 1.05 in February.

Shares of IRFC fell 1.75 per cent to trade at Rs 75.65 in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday. 

According to BSE analytics, Shares of IRFC have gained over 170 per cent in the last six months against a 9.68 per cent return generated by BSE Sensex.

IRFC shares have a 52-week range of Rs 92.94 - Rs 21.30. The company has a market cap of Rs 98,797.91 crore, according to the BSE website.
