Top Gainers & Losers: Indian equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended with marginal gains on Thursday after falling for three consecutive sessions helped by fag-end buying in energy, telecom, and utility stocks.

In a highly volatile trade, BSE Sensex climbed 64.55 points or 0.11 per cent to settle at 59,632.35 and NSE Nifty rose by 5.7 points or 0.03 per cent to finish at 17,624.45.

Among the Nifty50 pack, NTPC, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, and Tata Motors were the biggest winners.

Divi’s Laboratories, Hindustan Unilever, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Eicher Motors, and Hindalco were among the laggards.

NTPC

NTPC stock was the top gainer on Nifty50, it rose over 1 per cent to Rs 169.6 per share on the NSE.

Brokerage firm Emkay has given a ‘buy’ rating on NTPC with a target price of Rs 200 per share which is an upside of 17.9 per cent

Emkay expects 8 per cent earnings per share CAGR in the medium term, with 12.2 per cent retrn on equity.
