Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) slipped on BSE on Thursday (May 9, 2024) on a day when both PSUs reported their fourth-quarter results.

While HPCL and BPCL are set to report the January-March quarter numbers in their respective board meetings on Thursday, they may also announce dividends.

HPCL share price

After closing at Rs 523.10 a day ago, HPCL slipped by 4.99 per cent to the day's low of Rs 497.00.

The stock that began the trading session on Thursday at Rs 527.70 ended it lower by 3.99 per cent, or Rs 20.85, at Rs 502.25.

BPCL share price

After closing at Rs 620.70 on Wednesday, the BPCL stock slipped by 4.91 per cent to the day's low of Rs 608.50.

The stock that opened at Rs 632.00 on Thursday closed trading lower by 4.41 per cent, or Rs 27.40, at Rs 593.30.
