Hindustan Zinc Hits All-time High: Hindustan Zinc, a subsidiary of Vedanta Ltd, hit an all-time high for the second day in a row on BSE on Wednesday (May 22, 2024) even on a day when the Nifty metal index is trading lower.

The stock that hit an upper cut of 20 per cent a day ago continued its rise on Wednesday as jumped by 8.75 per cent to an all-time high of Rs 807.00.

Hindustan Zinc shares that started trading at Rs 761.15 each on Wednesday closed the session up by 4.13 per cent, or Rs 30.65, at Rs 772.70.

The stock's day's low is Rs 712.05. 

Why Hindustan Zinc is rising today?

Many metal stocks in India, including Hindustan Zinc, have been rallying since a rise in base metal prices following China's announcement of reviving its struggling property sector.  

Hindustan Zinc shares rose on a day when the Nifty metal index is in the red zone. 

However, if we leave the index's today's performance apart, it has risen by nearly five per cent in the last five trading sessions.

The stock of the company has jumped by 161 per cent from close of May 21 to today's high.

Just in the last one month, the stock has jumped to Rs 772.70 from Rs 410.03, a staggering 88.44 per cent rise.
