Hindustan Zinc and Vedanta hit 52-week highs as zinc firm announces to discuss interim dividend
In a statement to bourses on Thursday, Hindustan Zinc said: We wish to inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is proposed to be scheduled on Tuesday, May 07, 2024, to consider and approve the Interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the Financial Year 2024-25.
Hindustan Zinc and its parent company Vedanta Ltd hit a 52-week high each on BSE on Friday, May 3, 2024, after Hindustan Zinc informed that it would discuss the interim dividend in a board meeting on May 7. Hindustan Zinc is a subsidiary of Vedanta Ltd.

After closing at Rs 431.95 on Thursday, the stock jumped to the 52-week high of Rs 478.05 on Friday, a 10.67 per cent rise from the previous close.
The stock that started the session on Friday at Rs 438.65 ended it higher by 9.17 per cent, or Rs 39.60, at Rs 471.55.
Vedanta share price
Vedanta Ltd share, on the other hand, hit a 52-week high of Rs 420.00 after closing at Rs 410.70 on Thursday, a 2.27 per cent rise.
Its stock ended the trading session on Friday up by 1.08 per cent, or Rs 4.45, at Rs 415.15.
It is the second day in a row when the Vedanta stock has hit a 52-week high

The record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Hindustan Zinc said further.
