HAL dividend: Hindustan Aeronautics shares to trade ex-dividend on Tuesday

HAL dividend record date: Aerospace and defence company Hindustan Aeronautics' shares are set to turn ex-dividend on Tuesday, February 20. Earlier, Bengaluru-headquartered Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd's board approved an interim dividend of Rs 22 per equity share along with the defence PSU 's financial results.
"Board of Directors had declared the first interim dividend of Rs. 22 per equity share of Rs. 5/- each fully paid up (440 per cent) for the Financial Year 2023-24," according to a regulatory filing dated February 12.

The company has fixed February 20 as the record date for the payment of the dividend.

HAL reported a 9.2 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,261.4 crore for the October-December period.
The company's revenue expanded to Rs 6,061.3 crore for the fiscal third quarter, from Rs 5,665.5 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
HAL's margin, a key measure of profitability, improved by 630 basis points on a year-on-year basis to 23.7 per cent for the quarter ended December 31, 2023.

HAL's stock has given a return of over 130 per cent in the past year, sharply outperforming a 24 per cent rise in the headline Nifty50 index.
