IOCL, HPCL, BPCL slip in trade after Centre slashes LPG prices by Rs 200
While GAIL, Indraprastha Gas, Mahanagar Gas, ONGC were trading in the green; Gujarat Gas is flat; and IOCL and Bharat Petroleum were trading down on Wednesday morning.
A day after the government slashed LPG cylinder prices by Rs 200 per cylinder, stocks of most of the oil and gas companies are trading mixed bag on the BSE in early trading hours on Wednesday (August 30, 2023). While GAIL, Indraprastha Gas, Mahanagar Gas, ONGC were trading in the green; Gujarat Gas is flat; and IOCL and Bharat Petroleum were trading down on Wednesday morning.

GAIL
The share was off to a good start in early trading on Wednesday and was higher by 0.34 per cent at Rs 117.50.
Indraprastha Gas
Indraprastha Gas had a roller-coaster ride as it rose to Rs 464.05 before slipping to Rs 458.40, It is making a slow recovery to be 0.13 per cent up at Rs 463.10.
Mahanagar Gas
The share opened at Rs 1020 before slipping to Rs 1014. It is making recovery and is trading at Rs 1027.
Gujarat Gas
Gujarat Gas is trading flat at Rs 459 in early morning deals.
IOCL
The share was trading lower on BSE, down 0.58 per cent at Rs 91.31.
ONGC
ONGC went down initially but recovered soon to be in the green. The share has gone as high as Rs 176.20.
HPCL
HPCL was off to a poor start as it slipped 2.25 per cent at Rs 258 in morning deals on Wednesday.
Bharat Petroleum
The share of the oil and giant made a weak opening on BSE in early trading on Wednesday as it was down 1.32 per cent at Rs 352.05.
