GAIL Share Dividend 2023: Company announces 40% dividend- check out amount and record date

GAIL Share Dividend 2023: GAIL, a public sector undertaking, has announced dividend payment for its shareholders. The company approved paying a dividend of 40 per cent to its shareholders. This is the third corporate action by the company in the current fiscal.

GAIL in an exchange filing said that it will pay an interim dividend of Rs 4 for each share having a face value of Rs 10 each.

"The Board of Directors of the Company in its 454th meeting held today i.e.13th March, 2023 has, inter-alia, approved the payment of Interim Dividend for the FY 2022-23 @ 40% (Rs. 4.00/- per equity share) on the paid-up equity share capital of the Company," the filing said.

The New Delhi headquartered petroleum company has fixed the record date for the payment of interim dividend. A record date determines the shareholders eligible to benefit from corporate action such as a dividend payout.

"For the purpose of payment of Interim Dividend, if so approved by the Board, the "Record Date" will be Tuesday, 21st March, 2023," the filing said.
