Delta Corp, Nazara Tech, OnMobile Global, Zensar Tech and other online gaming and casino stocks are expected to trade actively today as the Goods & Services Tax Council on Tuesday agreed to levy a 28 per cent tax on online gaming, casinos, and horse racing, and the tax would be levied on full face value. Post-GST Council decision, Nazara Tech, in its regulatory filing on July 12, issued a clarification saying that this tax, once implemented, will apply only to the skill-based real-money gaming segment of its business. "The contribution of this segment to our overall consolidated revenues for the financial year FY23 was 5.2 per cent," it said.
Happiest Minds Technologies announced on July 11 that it has launched a qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue, at a floor price of Rs 972.16 per share. The company is planning to raise up to Rs 500 crore from it.

It also comes against the backdrop of various lessors seeking repossession of aircraft leased to SpiceJet, and some of the cases have been settled by the airline.
Maruti, M&M, Tata Motors: The GST Council on Tuesday increased the cess on SUVs and MUVs by 2 per cent to 22 per cent. This compensation cess will be levied apart from the 28 per cent GST. It is applicable to utility vehicles (UV) with an unladen ground clearance of at least 170 mm, a 4-metre length, and an engine of over 1500 cc.
