Benchmark equity indices continued to trade lower for the third consecutive day today amid weak global cues. Nifty settled 19 points, or 0.1 per cent lower at 19,731.75, while Sensex shed 116 points, or 0.17 per cent. Broader markets, meanwhile, outperformed their headline peers, with the Nifty Midcap 100 ending 0.21 per cent higher. Sectorally, metal pack led the gains, followed by PSU Banks and Consumer Durable stocks.

Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals: Amid a sharp spurt in trading volume by over 23 times on the BSE, shares of the fertiliser company ended 10 per cent higher at Rs 205.
Delta Corp: Shares of the casino chain operator tumbled 11 per cent to hit a fresh 52-week low of Rs 124.6 after the company’s subsidiary received a notice from the GST authorities to pay an amount of Rs 6,385 crore as the shortfall tax.
Federal Bank: Shares of the private lender hit a record high of Rs 152.55 after the bank’s net profit spiked 35 per cent year-on-year to Rs 954 crore in the quarter ended September.
Bank of Maharashtra: Shares of the state-run bank ended over 1 per cent higher after it reported a sharp jump in its standalone net profit to Rs 919.8 crore in the Q2 FY24 period today. The same stood at Rs 535.06 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Sunteck Realty: Shares of the realty major logged a fresh 52-week high of Rs 485.95 after the company’s strong Q2 and H1FY24 business update.
IFL Enterprises: Shares of the small-cap company surged 17 per cent to the day’s high of Rs 13.25 after the company fixed its board meeting date for considering share buyback, dividend distribution, and the issuance of bonus shares to its shareholders.
Spicejet: Shares of the low-cost airline ended over 8 per cent lower at Rs 39.9 amid profit booking in the counter.
Avenue Supermarts: Shares of the retail chain operator settled with a cut of around 2 per cent at Rs 3,864 after the company’s weak quarterly numbers for the quarter ended September.
Bajaj Finance: Shares of the NBFC player ended a tad lower at Rs 8033 ahead of its quarterly numbers due to be released on Tuesday (October 17).
Gati: Shares of the logistics services provided ended 10 per cent higher at Rs 162.8 as the pre-festive ordering for the company swelled 18 per cent year-on-year (YoY).
