D-Street Newsmakers:ONGC, Shipping Corporation and Zomato among 7 stocks that hogged limelight today
Indian equities ended in the red for the second straight day led by weakness in the realty and pharma pack.
Indian equities could not sustain opening gains, nevertheless aided by buying in select heavyweights, benchmark indices ended with minor cuts for the second consecutive session on the weekly expiry session today. Nifty ended at 24,315.95 with a marginal loss of 8.50 points. Meanwhile, broader markets outshined their headline peers.
Sectorally, Media was the top gainer followed by FMCG while Realty was the major loser by ending the trade with a loss of 1.49% Mid and Smallcaps managed to hold their opening gains and outperformed the Benchmark Index.

ONGC:
ONGC shares ended 2.5 per cent higher at Rs 305.5 as the minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas on X stressed on the immense volume of natural gas that is waiting to be explored.
RVNL:
Shares of the railway entity after hitting a new high in intra-day trade ended nearly 3 per cent higher at Rs 626.80.
Raymond:
Post demerger of its Lifestyle unit, the company’s shares traded at an adjusted price. The stock in today’s trade ended 5 per cent higher at Rs 2047.40.
TCS:
TCS shares ended in the green with minor gains of 0.3 per cent at Rs 3922.7 ahead of the release of its Q1 results.
Tata Elxsi:
After reporting weak Q1 performance, shares of the company ended lower by over 2 per cent at Rs 6,968.
Shipping Corporation of India (SCI):
Shares of the shipping company ended locked in 20 per cent upper circuit at Rs 330.3 as the industry is set to get a big boost in the upcoming budget.
Zomato:
Zomato shares supported by strong financials ended at Rs 217.35, up 3 per cent. The stock hit an all-time high in trade today.
