D-Street Newsmakers: Ola Electric, Zomato, TCS among stocks that hogged limelight today
As investors await a clue from the Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s speech at the Jackson Hole conference on the likely interest rate trajectory going ahead, there is high exuberance in the market which is being reflected in the overall buying sentiment.
D-Street Newsmakers: Indian equities on the back of positive global cues ended sharply higher. Nifty ended near 24,700 levels, while Sensex added 500 points and ended above 80,800 levels. Meanwhile Bank Nifty also ended with decent gains of 0.9 per cent.
Here are the stocks that hogged limelight today:
Ola Electric:
Ola Electric Mobility shares ended with a cut of nearly 6 per cent at Rs 137.72 after recording its fresh high in intra-day trade.
Zomato:
Zomato shares ended on a positive note with minor gains amid a block deal in the counter. The stock closed at Rs 263 per share.
TCS:
TCS shares after getting a big upgrade by Macquarie ended higher by 0.74 per cent at Rs 4,522.55. In intraday trade, TCS stock marked its fresh 52-week high of Rs 4,564.75.
Hindustan Zinc:
After declaring Rs 19 per share dividend, the stock of metal company ended higher by over 3 per cent at Rs 512.3.
Saraswati Saree Depot:
Shares of the company after making decent listing ended locked in 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 203.7.
Granules India:
Shares of the pharma company ended nearly 2 per cent higher at Rs 673.95 as the USFDA approved the company's ANDA for Glycopyrrolate Oral Solution.
