IT, energy and metal shares aided a bounceback on Thursday that helped domestic equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex recover some of their losses from the previous session, as investors awaited the much-anticipated outcome of stress tests on certain mutual funds schemes. The 50-scrip index ended the day with a gain of 0.7 per cent at 22,146.7 while the Sensex rose half a per cent to settle at 73,097.3.

ITC:

The cigarettes-to-hotels conglomerate's stock declined 0.7 per cent to Rs 419.7 at the close following the release of block deal data that showed some 60 funds picked stakes in the company British American Tobacco (BAT) trimmed its shareholding by 3.5 per cent. 

Angel One:

The stock ended nine per cent higher at Rs 2,650 after a Motilal Oswal report highlighted that the discount broker managed to increase its clientele by 5.2 per cent sequentially in February. 

Zomato:

Shares of the food delivery firm ended three per cent higher at Rs 152.8 as its unit Blinkit’s rival platform started to charge a platform fee.

HDFC Bank:

Shares of the private bank declined 0.3 per cent to settle at Rs 1455.8 apiece.

Coal India:

Shares of the Maharatna PSU ended 2.6 per cent higher at Rs 427.7 apiece after Jefferies maintained its 'buy' rating for the counter.

L&T:

L&T shares ended two per cent stronger at Rs 3,608.2 after the company won a new substantial order.

BEL:

Shares of the defence major ended 2.6 per cent higher at Rs 195.3 after the company inked a pact with L&T.

Praveg:

Shares of the company jumped nine per cent to end at Rs 928.9 after the company bagged a project for constructing tents in Lakshadweep.

KPI Green Energy:

The stock ended four per cent lower at Rs 1,489.

PC Jeweller:

PC Jewellery shares surged five per cent to Rs 61.4 apiece after SBI approved the jewellery maker's debt settlement plan.
