Indian equities led by financials hit new highs in trade on the monthly expiry today. At the close, Nifty ended 0.57 per cent or 123.95 points higher at 21,778.7, while Sensex added 0.52 per cent, or 371.95 points to close at 72,410.38. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank which also notched a fresh all-time high today ended 0.47 per cent higher at 48.508.55.

Shares of the heavyweight stock after making an all-time high in intra day trade ended in the red. Shares ended 0.72 per cent lower at Rs 3518.05 after it provided an update on the acquisition of L&T Sapura Offshore.

Bata India:

Shares of the footwear maker ended in the red at Rs 1636.15 even as Geojit Financial Services upgraded the stock to ‘buy’ from the previous ‘hold’.

Mphasis:

Citi has downgraded this mid-cap IT stock to a ‘sell’ and subsequently shares of the software consulting ended a tad lower at Rs 2726.65 per share.

Sula Vineyards:

The brewery company stock ended over 4 per cent higher at Rs 497.6 after the company made new records over the Christmas weekend.

Shares of the state-run lender ended around 2 per cent higher at Rs 440.9 as the company’s board listing of Canara Robeco Asset Management Company via the IPO route.

Man Industries (India):

Shares of the company ended 5.6 per cent higher at Rs 266.95 as the company announced successful testing of pipes for safe hydrogen transportation.

Central Bank of India:

Shares of the lender ended over 2 per cent higher at Rs 50.19 as the company entered into a co-lending agreement with Kisetsu Saison.

Suprajit Engineering:

Amid spurt in volume, shares of the auto ancillary company ended 8 per cent higher at Rs 402.35 per share.

Lupin:

Shares of the pharma major ended 4 per cent higher at Rs 1339.3 as it won the US FDA approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application, allowing the marketing of Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension-0.2%. 

HUDCO:

Shares of the financial company ended over 12 per cent higher at Rs 128.04 as the company signed an MoU with Gujarat government.
