Coal India Dividend 2023: PSU declares Rs 15.25 interim dividend - Check record date and payment date

Coal India Dividend 2023 Record Date Latest News: State-owned Coal India Ltd has announced its first interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24. The state-run miner declared dividend along with the second quarter financial results. Coal India reported better-than-expected second-quarter profit, helped by high power demand and boosted production. 

Coal India Dividend 2023 Amount

Coal India has announced an interim dividend of Rs 15.25 (or 152.5 per cent) per equity share with a face value of Rs 10. 

"...the Board of Directors at its meeting held on date has inter alia, declared 1st Interim Dividend for the financial year 2023-24 @ Rs. 15.25/- per share on the face value of Rs 10/," the company said in an exchange filing. 

Coal India Dividend 2023 Record Date

The PSU has declared November 21, 2023, as the record date for the purpose of declaration of the interim dividend.

"The company has fixed Tuesday, 21st Nov’ 2023 as the “Record Date” for the purpose of declaration of 1st Interim Dividend on equity shares for the Financial year 2023-24," the filing reads.

The record date is important as it helps companies determine the eligibility of shareholders for corporate action such as a dividend payout.

Coal India Dividend 2023 Payment Date

Coal India said that the interim dividend will be credited to the account of eligible investors on or before December 9, 2023.

"The date of payment of “1st Interim Dividend” for FY 2023-24 shall be by 9th Dec’ 2023."
