Bonus Share Alert: This is the first time when the company has recommended the issue of bonus shares to shareholders.
Bonus Share Alert: Central Depository Services (CDSL) has informed exchanges that its board of directors has recommended the issuance of bonus shares for eligible shareholders in the ratio of 1:1. However the company has not fixed the record date for this purpose and said that shareholders will be informed about it in due course.
"The Board of Directors has recommended the issuance of Bonus Shares to the Shareholders of the Company in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. 1 (One) new fully paid-up Equity Share of ₹ 10/- (Rupees Ten Only) each for every 1 (One) existing fully paid-up Equity Share of ₹ 10/- (Rupees Ten Only) each," the company said in an exchange filing.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first time when the company has recommended the issue of bonus shares to shareholders.

On Tuesday, the shares of CDSL fell 2.10 per cent to end the session at Rs 2,386.85. The market cap of the company is Rs 24,942 crore. If we look at the performance of the stock, it has given a return of 28 per cent in the last 3 months, 32 per cent in 6 months and 110 per cent in the last one year.
CDSL Dividend Record Date
Meanwhile, the company had announced a total dividend payout of Rs 22 per equity share - This included a final dividend of Rs 19 and a special dividend of Rs 3 per equity share - and the company has now fixed July 16, 2024, as the record date for the purpose of determining the shareholders eligible to receive dividend for the financial year
2023-24.
"The Dividend, if approved at the AGM, will be paid within a period of 30 days from the conclusion of the AGM," the company said in the exchange filing.
