Dividend stock: BPCL board to consider interim dividend for FY24 on November 29

BPCL divdend board meeting date: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) shares were in demand on Wednesday a day after the state-run oil marketing company said its board will meet on November 29 to consider an interim dividend for the current financial year. If declared, it will be the OMCs fifth dividend announcement within a span of two years. 

The stock of Mumbai-headquartered Bharat Petroleum Corporation finished the day with a gain of Rs 13.9, or 3.6 per cent, at Rs 402 apiece on BSE. During the session, BPCL shares jumped by as much as Rs 14.7, or 3.8 per cent, to Rs 402.8 apiece on BSE, or 4.3 per cent, to Rs 402 apiece on the bourse, coming within about Rs 4 of a 52-week high registered last week. 

The stock ended higher by Rs 14.3, or 3.7 per cent, at Rs 402.3 apiece on NSE, within inches of its intraday high of Rs 402.8 apiece. 

BPCL board to meet on November 29 to consider dividend

"Pursuant to Regulation 29(2) of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform you that a meeting of the Board of Directors would be held on Wednesday, 29th November 2023, to consider the proposal of declaration of interim dividend for the Financial Year 2023-24 and fixation of Record date," BPCL said in a regulatory filing post-market hours on Tuesday.

It is the cut-off date that determines the shareholders entitled to receive an already-announced dividend.
