Aster DM Healthcare shares hit all-time high on special dividend of Rs 118/share

Aster DM Healthcare dividend, Aster DM Healthcare dividend record date: Shares of Aster DM Healthcare on Monday, April 15 skyrocketed over 14 per cent to hit a new high on Dalal Street after the healthcare provider announced a special dividend for its shareholders.

The Aster DM Healthcare stock skyrocketed as much as 14.4 per cent to an all-time high of Rs 558.3, surpassing an earlier peak of Rs 500.6, clocked on April 9, 2024, on BSE in early morning deals.

The company announced a special dividend of Rs 118 per share on April 12. 

"Following deliberations, the Board of Directors approved declaration of a Special Dividend of INR 118/- per share on account of the receipt of proceeds from the sale of the GCC business and redemption of Redeemable Preference shares issued to the Company by Affinity Holdings Pvt Ltd , a wholly owned material subsidiary of the Company, on 49,95,13,060 equity shares of INR 10/- each payable to those shareholders whose names stand on the Register of Members of the Company as on the Record Date," the company's exchange filing said.

The company's board has decided not to declare an interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24. However, the board may consider declaration of the final dividend for the financial year 2023-24 at the board meeting considering the approval of audited financial statements for FY2023-24.

According to the exchange filing, the record date for this purpose has been fixed as April 23.

"Tuesday, April 23, 2024, has been fixed as the Record Date for determining entitlement of the shareholders to special dividend," the filing read.

"The special dividend will be paid within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the declaration," the company's filing said
