After market hours on Tuesday, the company reported a 5.5 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 1,180.3 crore for the three-month period. The mortgage lender's revenue was Rs 6,415.11 crore for the quarter ended March 2023 compared to Rs 5,299.66 crore in the same quarter last year.
LIC Housing Finance’s board recommended a dividend of Rs 8.5 per equity share.
What Anil Singhvi makes of LIC Housing Finance Q4 results
Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi said that the reported numbers were fine, “not great, not bad”. He pointed out that the company's net interest margin hit a multi-year high. The company reported improvement in credit cost and asset quality but its loan disbursements were “slightly weak”, he said.
LIC Housing Finance shares: Should you buy, sell or hold?
- CLSA maintained a ‘buy’ call on LIC Housing Finance after the company’s earnings announcement. The brokerage raised its target price by Rs 30 to Rs 550.
- Jefferies also continued with a ‘buy’ rating, with a target price of Rs 500.
- Morgan Stanley retained an ‘underweight’ call on the stock with a target price of Rs 320.
- Citi continued with a ‘sell’ though with a Rs 10 raise in the target price to Rs 360.

LIC Housing Finance shares have grown almost five per cent in the past one year, as of May 17, as against a 12 per cent increase in the Nifty 50 headline index.
