After Amul increases milk prices by Rs 2/litre, here's how dairy stocks are performing in today's trade

Dairy Stocks: Even as the Lok Sabha elections results are set to declared on Tuesday (June 4, 2024) and Poll of Polls exit poll showed that the BJP-led NDA is returning to power with a thumping majority, dairy company Amul increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per litre. Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) said that Amul's new rates of milk will be applicable from today (Monday, June 3). Amul has increased the prices of all its brands including Gold. After Amul, Mother Dairy and other milk-producing companies can also increase the prices of milk.

Even as the increase in milk prices by other companies linger around, here how leading dairy stocks such as Nestle India, Hatsun Agro Products, Parag Milk Foods, Milkfood Ltd, Dodla Dairy, and Modern Dairies are faring on BSE on Monday.

Nestle India

After closing at Rs 2,355.45 in the previous session, Nestle India rose by 1.89 per cent to Monday's high of Rs 2,399.90.

Nestle India shares were trading up by 0.68 per cent, or Rs 15.95, at Rs 2,371.40 each at 9:41 am on Monday.

Hatsun Agro

After losing at Rs 1,005.35 in the previous session, Hatsun Agro rose by 3.44 per cent to Monday's high of Rs 1,039.95.

Hatsun Agro shares were trading up by 0.42 per cent, or Rs 4.25, at Rs 1,009.60 each on Monday.

Parag Milk Foods

The stock of the company that closed at Rs 169.10 in the previous session rose by 4.05 per cent to Monday's high of Rs 175.95 on Monday.

Parag Milk Foods shares were trading up by 1.69 per cent, or Rs 2.85, at Rs 171.95 apiece.

Milkfood Ltd

After stock of MIlkfood Ltd closed at Rs 518.05 in the previous session, it rose by 3.27 per cent to Monday's high of Rs 535.00.

Milkfood Ltd shares were trading up by 0.38 per cent, or Rs 1.95, at Rs 520.00 each on Monday.

Dodla Dairy

After closing the previous session at Rs 868.65, the stock opened up by 5.91 per cent at Rs 920.00 on Monday.

Dodla Dairy shares were trading higher by 0.73 per cent, or Rs 6.35 at Rs 875.00 each on Monday

Modern Dairies

After closing at Rs 47.53 on Friday, the stock of the dairy company rose by 3.09 per cent to Monday's high of Rs 49.00.

Modern Dairies shares were trading higher by 0.61 per cent, or Rs 0.29, at Rs 47.82 apiece on Monday.
