Share Market Special Saturday Trading Session, Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex finished the first of two special trading sessions scheduled on Saturday, May 18, with mild gains, led by buying interest in IT, financial and energy shares.
Stock exchanges BSE and NSE conducted the sessions to check their preparedness to handle major disruption or failure at the primary site, and a consequent switchover to the disaster recovery site.

Balrampur Chini shares decline by as much as Rs 12.1, or 3.1 per cent, to Rs 372.1 apiece on BSE.
For the March quarter, the sugar manufacturer registered a net profit of Rs 203 crore and margin of 24 per cent.
According to Zee Business research, Balrampur Sugar's March-quarter net profit was estimated at Rs 220 crore and margin at 33 per cent.

Astral Ltd shares are down by Rs 111.8, or 4.9 per cent, at Rs 2,192.5 apiece on BSE, having slipped to as low as Rs 2,191.3 in intraday trade so far.
The company's Q4 results fell short of analysts' expectations.
The company's net profit stood at Rs 181 crore and margin at 17.9 per cent for the March quarter.
Zee Business analysts had estimated Astral's March-quarter net profit at Rs 216 crore and margin at 20 per cent.

Balkrishna Industries shares are locked in the five per cent upper circuit, a special limit in place for today's sessions, at Rs 2,799 apiece on BSE, a record high.
The tyre maker clocked an 87.9 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 481 crore for the March quarter.
Its quarterly margin improved by 460 basis points to 24.9 per cent.

Share Market Special Saturday Trading Session, Share Market LIVE: Zydus Lifesciences shares locked in 5% upper circuit after results beat expectations
Zydus Lifesciences (ZYDUSLIFE) shares are locked in the five per cent upper circuit at Rs 1,104.5 apiece on BSE at this hour, after the pharmaceuticals company staged a strong performance in the March quarter, beating analysts' estimates on all grounds.
The drug maker registered a nearly four times jump in net profit to Rs 1,182 crore for the January-March period.
Its quarterly margin improved by 440 basis points to 29.5 per cent.
According to Zee Business research, Zydus Lifesciences' March-quarter net profit was estimated at Rs 920 crore and margin at 28.6 per cent.
