Did you know that stock exchanges BSE and NSE will conduct a special trading session this Saturday, January 20?
The special session, which will begin normally at 9:15 am and conclude at 12:30 pm, has been organised to test a disaster recovery site.
Trading will be conducted normally in the cash as well as derivative segments on this day, according to separate circulars issued by the bourses.
Share Market Today LIVE: Hindustan Zinc shares jump moments after Vedanta subsidiary reports Q3 results
Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) reports a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,028 crore for the October-December period, a decline of 5.9 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Its revenue shrinks to Rs 7,067 crore for the third quarter of the current financial year from Rs 7,628 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
HZL shares build on their intraday gains moments after the release of the earnings report, rising by as much as Rs 11.9, or 3.8 per cent, to Rs 323.7 apiece on BSE.

Central Bank of India (CENTRALBK) shares rise as much as 2.3 per cent to Rs 54 apiece on BSE minutes after the earnings announcement, coming within Rs 2 of a 52-week high touched in September last year.

Poonawalla Fincorp shares jump by as much as Rs 28.3, or 5.7 per cent, to Rs 520 apeice on BSE, a day after the company reports its highest-ever quarterly net profit as well as disbursement.
After market hours on Thursday, the NBFC reported a 77per cent jump in net profit with 63 per cent growth in net interest income.
The company's assets under management (NII) increased 58 per cent, according to a regulatory filing.
Its board declared an interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share.

After market hours on Thursday, the company reported a 22.5 per cent in net profit with 16.8 per cent growth in revenue for the quarter ended December.

The company's assets under management (AUM) increased 33.5 per cent to Rs 9,014 crore.
