Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex fell more than one per cent each on Monday amid a sell-off across sectors, as Dalal Street tracked a sea of red from global markets on account of a widening conflict in the Middle East that hurt already weak investor sentiment and nervousness about key macroeconomic data and big tech earnings from the world's largest economy due this week.
Both headline indices finished 1.3 per cent lower for the day, with the final nail in the coffin coming in the final 30 minutes of trade. The Sensex shed 825.7 points to end at 64,571.9 and the Nifty50 settled at 19,281.8, down 260.9 points for the day.

LTIMindtree, Adani Enterprises, Hindalco and JSW Steel are among the top losers in the Nifty basket, down around 4-3 per cent. On the other hand, M&M and Bajaj Finance are among the top gainers.

Share Market Today LIVE | Overall market breadth remains highly negative
Market breadth remains sharply negative, with an advance-decline ratio of 1:5 as 719 stocks are up against 3,059 that are down, as Dalal Street enters the last hour of trade.
The BSE 500, the broadest index on the bourse, has just 38 stocks holding on to the green at this hour.

In addition, Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities says that the short-term trend of the Nifty remains negative. Having moved below the support of 19,330, one may expect the Nifty to slide down to 18,825 levels, its 200-day exponential moving average, in the near term. Any attempt of upside bounce could encounter resistance around 19,400.

His target implies an upside of 28.8 per cent in the power generation company's stock from its previous close.
JSW Energy shares have rewarded investors with a return of almost 23 per cent in the past year, sharply outperforming a 10 per cent rise in the headline Nifty50 index.
