TechM, Infy, HCL Tech and Apollo Hospitals are among the top losers, down nearly 3-2 per cent in the Nifty basket. On the other hand, BPCL, Maruti Suzuki, Coal India and PowerGrid are among the top gainers, trading with gains of around 2-1 per cent.

Plastiblends India shares skyrocketed to touch a 52-week high on Thursday, continuing to rise for the third session in a row after the Mumbai-based company reported a strong set of results for the July-September period.
The stock of Plastiblends India, a manufacturer and exporter of colour and additive masterbatches and thermoplastic compounds for the plastic processing industry, soared as much as 16 per cent to Rs 276.2 apiece on BSE, surpassing a previous 52-week high touched in August. Read More

Share Market Today LIVE | HCL Tech slips ahead of its Q2 results; key things to watch out for
Shares of HCL Technologies trade over 1 per cent lower at Rs 1,230.35 on BSE, reacting to mixed Q2 numbers by its peer Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Besides, nervousness ahead of its September quarter results announcement, which will be released later in the day, also added pressure to the stock.
According to Zee Business Research, the Noida-headquartered IT services company will report revenue of Rs 27,000 crore, up 2.7 per cent QoQ while revenue in US dollar terms is expected to rise 1.7 per cent QoQ to $325.5 crore. Read more

Share Market Today LIVE | Infosys trades in red ahead of Q2FY24 results; here is what to expect from IT giant
Infosys shares edge higher ahead of its Q2 result announcement. The IT giant stock trades Rs 8 or 0.54 per cent lower at Rs 1,486.4 on NSE. Domestic brokerage Sharekhan expects Infosys to report revenue growth at 0.7 per cent in CC terms due to discretionary spend rationalisation, with nearly 20 basis points (bps) cross-currency headwinds to result in reported US dollar revenue growth of 0.5 per cent q-o-q. EBIT margins are likely to decline by nearly 20 bps QoQ, impacted by higher travel and back-to-office costs.
The brokerage expects revenue in rupee terms to come in at Rs 38,322 crore, up 4.9 per cent YoY and 1 per cent QoQ. Operating profit margin is expected to slip 60 basis points (bps) YoY and 13 bps QoQ to 23.8 per cent. Net profit is seen at Rs 6,160 crore, against Rs 6,021 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. This will be 2.3 per cent growth YoY and 3.6 per cent on a QoQ basis. Read more
Share Market Today LIVE | Vedanta stock falls after India Ratings downgrades ratings of mining firm's facilities
Vedanta Ltd shares are trading in negative territory, down 0.64 per cent, or Rs 1.45, at Rs 226.25 on Thursday in the first trading session after India Ratings and Research downgraded its ratings on the long-term bank facilities and debt instruments.
In a release on Wednesday, Vedanta said, "We wish to inform you that India Ratings and Research, vide release dated October 11, 2023, has downgraded its ratings on the long-term bank facilities and debt instruments of the company to ‘IND AA-‘ from ‘IND AA’ and placed these ratings on ‘Rating Watch with Negative Implications’ while reaffirming the ratings on the short-term debt instruments of the company at ‘IND A1+."
