Share Market Update | Sensex, Nifty50 close lower for eighth day in a row
Both headline indices finish lower for the eighth back-to-back session, with the Sensex losing 326.2 points or 0.6 per cent to settle at 58,962.1. The Sensex gyrated in a range of almost 700 points around the flatline during the volatile session.
The Nifty50 gives up 88.8 points or 0.5 per cent to end at 17,304.

- Kunal Saraogi of Equity Rush has a 'buy' call on NTPC for targets of Rs 176 and Rs 179 with a stop loss at Rs 171.
- Sumeet Bagadia of Choice Broking suggests buying HAL shares for targets of Rs 2,625 and Rs 2,650 with a stop loss at Rs 2,525. Momentum appears to be building up in HAL shares for potential upside and existing investors can hold the stock, he says.

The Sensex finished a weak session on Monday 175.6 points or 0.3 per cent lower at 59,288.4, though having regained some ground from its intraday loss of more than 500 points.
The Nifty50 settled at 17,392.7, down 73.1 points or 0.4 per cent from its previous close, after moving broadly in the 17,300-17,450 band during the session.
