Coal India, L&T, IndusInd Bank and SBI Life are among the top gainers in the Nifty basket, trading with gains of around 7-2 per cent. On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products, ONGC, Britannia and M&M are among the top losers, down around 2-1 per cent.

Share Market Today LIVE | Force Motors shares hit 5% upper circuit on rise in production, sales in August
Force Motors shares locked in a 5 per cent upper circuit on Thursday, September 7, after the company reported a rise in its sales and production data for the month of August. Force Motors reported that its total production for August 2023 reached 3,032 units, surpassing the 2,987 units produced in July 2023.
Total sales for August 2023 stood at 2,601 units, an increase from the 2,564 units sold in the previous month. Moreover, the company's export figures also surged, rising from 227 units in July to an impressive 675 units in August, showcasing its global reach and competitiveness. Read more

Coal India shares zoom as much as over 6.5 per cent on Thursday, September 7, to clock a fresh 52-week high of Rs 272.9 each on NSE, given the surge in volume on the bourse. As many as 57.71 lakh shares have changed hands on the bourse in Thursday's session so far, in contrast to a daily average of 6.2 lakh shares in the past two weeks, according to provisional exchange data.
Coal India dividend yield
Coal India tops the list among the top dividend-yield paying stocks, as per Religare Broking's latest report. At the current market price, the coal miner has given a dividend yield of 10.5 per cent with FY22 DPS at Rs 17 and FY23 DPS at Rs 24.3. Read more

Stocks of HCL Technologies, TCS, and Wipro are trading higher, while the ones from Infosys are down on Thursday (September 7) after brokerage firm Nomura raised the target price for these prominent IT companies, and also gave a positive outlook for the IT industry in India.
Nomura also gave a positive outlook for the Indian IT industry. It estimated revenue growth would pick up in FY25F. The brokerage said that the growth would be aided by large deals. As per its analysis, the margin improvement in the industry will be slow since cost takeout projects would weigh on margins. Read more

Share Market Today LIVE | Shriram Finance shares inch lower after fund houses offload stock in bulk deals
Shriram Finance shares inches in intraday trade on Thursday after fund houses offloaded shares in the non-banking financial company (NBFC) in bulk deals. Small Cap World Fund offloaded 20.26 lakh Shriram Finance shares, representing 0.54 per cent of the company’s equity, and New World Fund Inc offloaded 26.77 lakh shares (0.71 per cent stake) in bulk deals amounting to Rs 381 crore and 503.5 crore, respectively, according to bulk deals data available with the exchanges.
Both deals took place at an average price of Rs 1,880.28 apiece, translating to a discount of 1.7 per cent to the previous close. At the end of the June quarter, New World Fund held a 1.95 stake in Shriram Finance, according to shareholding data. Read more
