Share Market Today | Sensex, Nifty, Nifty Bank stage record closing highs
The Sensex rose 486.5 points or 0.8 per cent to end at 65,205.1 and the Nifty added 133.5 points or 0.7 per cent to settle at 19,322.6 — their highest closing levels ever.

The merger between HDFC and HDFC Bank, which was officially completed on July 1, is the biggest transaction deal in India's corporate history. The deal has paved the way for the merged HDFC Bank to become the world’s fourth-largest bank in terms of market capitalisation, behind JPMorgan Chase & Co., Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd. and Bank of America Corp., according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Share Market Today LIVE | Federal Bank reports 21% YoY rise in total deposits in Q1FY24; stock gains
Shares of Federal Bank are trading in green at Rs 127.3, down by Rs 1.15 or 0.91 per cent on NSE. Federal Bank shares on Monday gained nearly 2 per cent after the lender shared its business update for the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal (Q1FY24), with both advances and total deposits rising 21 per cent year-on-year (YoY).
The bank’s total deposits increased 21.4 per cent to Rs 2,22,513 crore at the end of June 30, 2023, from Rs 1,83,355 crore as of June 30, 2022, as per the company's update filed on the exchanges. Read more

Share Market Today LIVE | UltraTech Cement shares hit record high post Q1 business update
Shares of UltraTech Cement trade at Rs 8439.9, up by 1.77 per cent on BSE. The counter hit a record high of Rs 8,499.70 apiece on the BSE on July 3 after the company shared its business update for the quarter ended June 30, 2023. The stock hit an all-time high of Rs 8,499.70 on the BSE in the early trade.
In its Q1FY24 business update, the company said its total sales of grey cement increased 20 per cent YoY to 28.60 million tonnes while White Cement's sales volume increased by 12 per cent YoY to 0.41 million tonnes. The total sales volume for India stood at 29.01 million tonnes, up 20 per cent YoY. Grey Cement: Overseas volumes rose by 11 per cent YoY to 1.04 million tonnes. Read more

Share Market Today LIVE | Aviation stocks in focus after ATF price hike
Airline stocks were in focus on Monday after the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was increased by Rs 1,476.79 per kilolitre, or 1.65 per cent, to Rs 90,779.88 per kl in the national capital, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers on July 1. Shares of Interglobe Aviation (IndiGo), Spicejet, Taal Enterprises, and Global Vectra Helicorp are trading in the green. These stocks have jumped as much as nearly 8 per cent during the trade. Share Market Today LIVE | HDFC Bank jumps 3% on merger completion; HDFC Life too gains in trade
Shares of HDFC and HDFC Bank are buzzing in trade on July 3 after the companies officially announced on July 1 that the merger between the two had been completed. Shares of HDFC are trading 3.35 per cent higher at Rs 2,916 levels. HDFC Bank shares are trading 3 per cent higher at Rs 1,753.50 on the BSE.
Following the reverse merger, HDFC will cease to exist from July 1 onward. "Saturday, July 1, 2023, to be the 'Effective Date' of the composite scheme of amalgamation, on which date the certified order of the NCLT sanctioning the Scheme will be filed by HDFC Investments, HDFC Holdings, HDFC Limited, and HDFC Bank with the RoC," HDFC Bank said in a regulatory filing. Shares of HDFC are expected to be delisted on July 13. Read more
