Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Continuing with the new normal, i.e., scaling fresh peaks every day, the benchmark indices ended at new record closing highs on July 18, Tuesday. The S&P BSE Sensex jumped 205 points, or 0.31 per cent to 66,795.14 levels, while the NSE's Nifty ended at 9,749, up 37.80 points, or 0.19 per cent. During the day, the 30-share index of the BSE hit an all-time peak of 67,007.02. NSE's Nifty reached a milestone of 19,819.45 intraday. On the Sensex, Infosys (up nearly 4 per cent) was the biggest gainer, followed by Asian Paints (up 1.50 per cent) and HCL Tech (up over 1 per cent).

Polycab India reports an 81.7 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 399.2 crore against Rs 219.7 crore registered in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Revenue from operations for the quarter under review stands at Rs 3,889.38 crore, up 42.1 per cent against Rs 2,736.5 crore in the year-ago period. Read more
