Gold Price | Yellow metal rates may remain in a consolidation phase for a while, says Sugandha Sachdeva
Sugandha Sachdeva, Executive Director and Chief Strategist at Acme Investment Advisors, expects gold prices to remain in a consolidation phase for a while. She expects the recent low of around Rs 57,600 per 10 grams in gold futures to entice buying interest and underpin prices "where the recent low of around Rs 57,600 per 10 marks looks to entice buying interest and underpin prices".
"Only in case this crucial level is breached on a closing basis, a further downside towards Rs 56,000 per 10 grams mark looks plausible. In the international markets, prices have formed a strong base around the recent low of $1,890-1,880 per ounce zone, from where they are likely to embark on an uphill journey yet again," she tells Zeebiz.com.
"The long-term story for gold is still intact as lingering geo-political risks, a probable pause in the monetary tightening campaign of the US central bank, the accelerating de-dollarization drive, net gold buying by the central banks for the year, prospects of a growth slowdown caused due to unrelenting rate hikes by the major central banks look to enchant gold investors by the end of the year. Gold is a precious metal that has been used as a store of value for centuries and is likely to remain an attractive investment for investors."
